Participation in the BYT 2018/2019 program was a very enriching experience at both professional and personal levels. Likewise, it was an excellent opportunity to be able to work and contact with several people within the research area. Throughout the year, I developed several skills within the area I was researching (microplastics) and the program component that I found most interesting and challenging was the fact that I was allowed to have great autonomy and direct participation in the most fundamental points of the research. With all this, I conclude that participating in the BYT program has allowed me to open new doors that could be enriching in building my academic future.
