An excellent PhD programme involving high-level original research alongside CIIMAR teams. In the BYTPhD programme, you will have the opportunity to conduct innovative research in CIIMAR’s scientific areas, in collaboration with one of the University of Porto’s nine PhD programmes: Marine Biotechnology and Aquaculture, Environmental Contamination and Toxicology, Animal Science, Aquatic Sciences, Biology, Environmental Science and Technology, Marine Science, Technology and Management, Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Civil Engineering.
Selected candidates will work in an outstanding scientific environment, integrated into highly qualified teams in marine biotechnology, global change and ecosystem services, conservation, aquaculture, and nutrition. You will have access to CIIMAR’s advanced facilities and a network of complementary technological platforms. You will also participate in postgraduate activities that promote scientific excellence, communication, entrepreneurship, and employability.

Requirements
National and foreign citizens holding a master’s or bachelor’s degree from national or foreign universities in the areas of life sciences, environmental sciences and engineering.

Funding
Selected students will be awarded a € 1309,64 monthly scholarship.
Selection
Students will be selected based on the academic and scientific curriculum, work plan and motivation letter according to the criteria published in the call.
