It was very enriching to participate in BYT + and to contribute to a project carried out by CIIMAR, where I was able to be part of a stimulating environment for the dissemination of scientific knowledge. The implementation of floating islands – Floating Wetland Island (FWI) can certainly promote biodiversity and monitor bioindicators in port marinas. And these floating platforms integrated with aquatic plants (halophytes) have phytoremediation, as a mitigation tool in degraded and threatened places.

I am currently working at FCUP in the Safety, Hygiene and Sustainability Unit and I would like to continue to contribute with awareness and education actions on issues related to the conservation of the oceans.
