I participated in the 6th edition of Blue Young Talent during an unusual academic year. However, despite the adversities, my participation in this program was undoubtedly enriching, rewarding and productive. During the 10 months that I developed the project “Symbiotic chemical signals from plants as inducers of the production of cryptic compounds in Nostoc spp.” I acquired new knowledge shared by the team of researchers with whom I worked and gained laboratory experience that, without a doubt, will be significant to my future as a worker / researcher. In addition, I also had the opportunity to participate in the different activities organized by the BYT team. In short, this program, in addition to allowing me to join a research team in a laboratory environment, provided me with tools and teachings that allowed me to explore other areas of knowledge and broaden my horizons.

In the meantime, I applied for the Master of Analytical, Clinical and Forensic Toxicology at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto (FFUP) and who knows, in the future, I will be able to join the BYT program again, but as a master student.
